Welcome to Willowgate! We are a Scandinavian-heritage family of four who have 2.5ha of land in rural Wairarapa, where we raise livestock, fruit and veges in a quest to be mostly self-sufficient, while looking after our land and our world as best we can. We try to work with nature, not against, as much as possible, but we will use a herbicide on the Californian thistles, and we drench our sheep when we need to. Follow our adventures as we deal with daggy sheep, pesky white butterflies, and naughty starlings.
